Ovicare is an up and coming NDIS provider who strives to maintain and improve the quality of life, dignity and independence of every individual who is physically or mentally impaired, by offering quality care services tailored to their needs.

With our QLD Branch booming, we are now looking to take on an experienced Service Coordinator in the NDIS space to commence the growth of the company's participant base in the Melbourne region.

About the role

This will initially start as a very independent position to help this organisation make waves in the space to source NDIS participants to join the businesses core support services, whilst working in conjunction with partnering accommodation services.

  • Provide potential participants with information, assistance and a customised service proposal that meets their needs and follow up to secure business.
  • Responsible for obtaining feedback from clients and staff and creating business development opportunities.
  • Liaising with Support Coordinators, Case Managers, Nursing homes, LAC, Medical Professionals and Social Workers to access NDIS participants.
  • Recruiting the necessary casual workforce
  • In the first instance, accept referrals until the staffing structure is in place.
  • Oversee the performance of the workforce ensuring they are adequately supported to implement plans.
  • Lead staff to provide holistic, person centred active support services.
  • Be a positive brand ambassador for the organisation both internally and externally.
  • Client intake meetings and client assessments
  • Coordinate and manage services to our NDIS participants.

About you.

  • You’re tech-savvy and know your way confidently around multiple systems, including CRMs, Google (Gmail, GDrive, sheets, docs)
  • This is not your first NDIS rodeo - you will have a strong working knowledge of the NDIS and it’s impacts for participants, families and businesses
  • You possess a high-level of attention to detail & have excellent written and verbal communications skills and are a natural problem solver.
  • Sound understanding of budget management and effective use of resources.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse cultural groups.
  • Ability to identify workforce development needs and support individual and team performance.
  • Most importantly, you will have a passion for supporting people with disabilities to develop their full potential.


  • Experience working with people who have complex requirements including mental health, behavioural or high support needs.
  • Experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse cultures.
  • Experience in SIL and Support Coordination

  • Working with Children Check
  • Unrestricted VIC Drivers Licence
  • NDIS Module and National Police Check
