STATUS: Ongoing, Part Time

HOURS: 40.0 hours per fortnight

A new vacancy has arisen for a permanent position as a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant within our Aged Care team. This is a great opportunity to join our dedicated and passionate Leisure and Lifestyle team where you will play an important role in providing a safe, secure and happy living environment to our Maddocks Gardens residents. A split of the available eft for this role will be considered.

Leisure and Lifestyle Assistants at BRHS work under the guidance of the Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator to plan and deliver an engaging and dynamic lifestyle program for the Maddocks Gardens community. To be successful in this role you will interact with our residents and health professionals in a positive, proactive and compassionate manner to ensure that group activities meet the needs of the residents and enhance their quality of life. This position is also required to provide leave coverage relief to the Leisure and Lifestyle team.

Applicants are required to demonstrate:
Minimum qualification of Certificate 4 in Leisure & Lifestyle
Knowledge and ability to provide valuable and appropriate individual and group activities
Well developed and effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work cooperatively as part of a cohesive, supportive and collaborative team
Good organisational skills with the ability to successfully prioritise tasks
Passion and commitment in aged care with the ability to advocate for the best interests of the residents of Maddocks Gardens
Professional behaviour displaying maturity and confidentiality in challenging situations
The willingness to participate in quality improvement activities
Participate in providing innovative and individualized care that conforms with the Aged Care Quality standards
