We currently have an exciting employment opportunity for an experienced Laundry Assistant to join our team at Dalkeith Gardens. You can find out more about Dalkeith Gardens here https://www.benetas.com.au/residential-aged-care
The primary responsibilities of the position include:
- Deliver a high quality and efficient laundry service to residents where you will wash, dry, iron and fold
- Provide courteous service to residents, families/ carers and colleagues
- Identify any special laundry requirements, implement a laundry schedule and deliver effectively
- Work and communicate within a team environment but also be able to work autonomously with a large volume of laundry
- Maintain a safe work environment at all times which complies with OH&S requirements
- Ensure all laundry equipment is regularly maintained
- Identify opportunities to improve laundry services and identify strategies to implement
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:
- Experienced in the laundry for an aged care facility; commercial laundry service (desirable)
- Committed to participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure a quality laundry service
- Communicative, organised and take pride in your work and relationships with others
- Friendly, positive and are naturally able to build relationships that make a difference
- Honest, helpful and dependable – a great asset for the team
