The primary responsibilities of the position include:

• Deliver a high quality and efficient laundry service to residents where you will wash, dry, iron and fold
• Provide courteous service to residents, families/ carers and colleagues
• Identify any special laundry requirements, implement a laundry schedule and deliver effectively
• Work and communicate within a team environment but also be able to work autonomously with a large volume of laundry
• Maintain a safe work environment at all times which complies with OH&S requirements
• Ensure all laundry equipment is regularly maintained
• Identify opportunities to improve laundry services and identify strategies to implement

To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:

• Experienced in the laundry for an aged care facility; commercial laundry service (desirable)
• Committed to participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure a quality laundry service
• Communicative, organised and take pride in your work and relationships with others
• Friendly, positive and are naturally able to build relationships that make a difference
• Honest, helpful and dependable – a great asset for the team
