JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our team.

The cook will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of meals, supervision and leadership of catering staff and for ensuring all relevant documentation is accurately completed.

The successful candidate must have as a minimum Cert III in Cooking, and a minimum 2 years experience as a Cook/Head Cook preferably in an aged care environment.

Selection Criteria:

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be experienced in menu planning

Experience in textured modified meal preparation

Ability to organise and prioritise workload, including excellent time management skills

Understanding of Food Safety requirements

HACCP knowledge

Ability to problem solve

Understanding of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission standards
