About the role:
Uniting AgeWell is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to maintain external and internal living environements for our residents at our Ningana facility.
Contribute to resident’s quality of life and wellbeing through the provision of quality maintenance services
Monitor and maintain internal and external living environments for residents including furniture, equipment, lighting, temperature, noise, safety and security
Identify concerns or maintenance issues regarding residents’ personal belongings and consult with the Manager about repairs
Liaise with the Manager regarding any special requirements for particular residents which would support comfort, independence, and security
About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents/clients, to support them to live life to their full potential.
This is the place for you if you have:
Trade Qualification or some experience with Handyman work desirable but not essential
Capability and an understanding og OH & S and other legislative requirements
Availability to increase your hours - pick up extra shifts when they are available (remove if not relevant)
A commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
A willingness to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church
You will need:
A current Working With Children’s Check (VIC)
Full Australian working rights and a current police records check (or be willing to undertake this process)
A current flu vaccination and be prepared to meet this annual requirement
