Aveo is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer & Bus Driver to join our team at Aveo Springfield & Aveo Durack.
You will be responsible for facilitating bus trips for our residents to shopping centres, local attractions and other places as requested.
Enjoy spending time with our residents and use your excellent customer service skills to help ensure they are safe and enjoy their experience.

About the role:

  • Fixed Term Part-Time - reviewed annually
  • Start ASAP to March 2022
  • Shifts weekly - Wednesday & Thursday (8am to 4pm)
  • Based at Aveo Springfield & bus garaged at Aveo Durack
  • Driving bus on Wednesdays - residents social outings / shopping trips
  • Assist/cover Maintenance Officer as required
  • Relief Bus Driver at Aveo Durack when required
  • Co ordinate weekly Social Men's Group (Retired Seniors)

Your responsibilities:

  • Attend various maintenance requests to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, staff and others
  • Liaise directly with Manager to ensure projects undertaken are safe, aesthetically compatible and timely
  • Oversee maintenance work undertaken by Contractors within the community
  • Maintain gardens and grounds, including the communal areas, and drive the community's bus (as required) to enable residents to participate in external activities

About you:

  • Valid driver's licence - LR Class Licence (required)
  • Professional efficient manner and demonstrate an empathetic attitude to the needs of residents
  • Experience in General Maintenance and Handyman skills
  • Current Police Check certificate
  • Valid driver's licence (required)
  • Ability to work unsupervised and manage multi stakeholders and requests
  • Previous industry and similar role experience (highly regarded)
  • Relevant trade qualifications (highly regarded)
