JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking to fill a number of 12 month vacancies for Quality Assessors to commence at the end of May. Our client is the National end to end regulator of Aged Care Services and the primary point of contact for consumers and providers in relation to quality and safety. These vacancies are in the Quality Assessment team.Quality Assessors are responsible for conducting audits, assessments and reviews for residential aged care facilities, home care and flexi care services against the Aged Care Quality Standards. These positions are predominantly field based positions, undertaking visits to aged care services across the state. Applicable travel expenses are reimbursed in accordance with the travel policy.If you have a regulatory background, such as an auditor, compliance officer, quality improvement manager or work health and safety inspector, your work experience might be a good match for this role. Or perhaps you are a Health professional with a good understanding of the aged care operational environment, we urge you to apply as well.Successful candidates will commence with a 4- 5 week training program, leading to registration as a Quality Assessor.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following specific capabilities
• Ability to interpret and comply with legislation and regulatory framework and standards
• Excellent analytical thinking and report writing skills to prepare evidence based reports
• Build effective relationship in the team and with external stakeholders to build engagement and education
• Professional and friendly manner using excellent verbal communication to build trust and provide support to providers
Successful appointments are conditional on
• Australian Citizenship
• Successful completion of a National Police Check
• Providing evidence of having had a seasonal influenza vaccination
• Full Australian drivers licence for frequent overnight travel to regional areas
• Successful completion of the Quality Assessor training - 4 to 5 week program

Travel
Please note, extensive travel within SA & NT is an inherent requirement for the role. Travel requirements involve overnight travel each week or fortnight.
