JOB DESCRIPTION

The Domestic and Family Violence team currently has a vacancy for a permanent full time Coordination Lead to join the Mercy Community.

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership for the delivery of Domestic and Family Violence programs, via the development, implementation, management and review of high-quality, integrated service delivery.

The role:

This role has a strong focus on networking and engagement across the region and broader sector, including but not limited to the Moreton Bay Domestic and Family Violence service system, to ensure quality practice and strategic relationships with government and NGO services. This role will predominantly have oversight of the Domestic Violence System Coordination (DVSC) Service in Moreton Bay.

To be eligible for this position you will require (Key Selection Criteria):

  • Tertiary degree or above in Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology or related discipline.
  • Significant experience, understanding and knowledge of the Queensland DFV system.
  • Demonstrated experience in team and program leadership, or the ability to rapidly acquire these skills.
  • Extensive experience in conducting safety and risk assessments using a DFV framework, working the DFV service system with perpetrators and/or victims (including children).
  • An understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and societies and the issues which impact upon them in contemporary society together with a commitment to culturally competent engagement and practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain an effective team with a culture of high performance.
  • Demonstrated intermediate ability to use computer IT systems including MS Word and Excel.
  • Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver’s License.
  • Must hold a current positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and have the ability to obtain any other legislatively required personal history screening as required. Regular travel across service catchment.

This position offers a competitive salary of between $90,442 and $94,433 gross per annum in line with level 6 of our Enterprise Agreement (dependent on qualifications and experience) and other benefits in line with our Agreement.
