Jeavons Landscape Architects is an award-winning design studio based in Carlton North, Melbourne. Our clients engage us to deliver projects in a wide variety of environments and settings including play, recreation, education, early childhood, health, well-being, therapy and aged care. About the Role

In this role we are looking for a candidate with extensive landscape architectural experience who can assist the Directors with overseeing company-wide design projects. In addition to providing design direction and leveraging your extensive experience to mentor other team members, we are also looking for someone capable and eager to provide input into business growth and strategic direction, to support us with executing the company’s vision.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide design direction on projects for team members.
  • Maintain consistent design quality output, office wide.
  • Manage and monitor projects, allocate tasks and workload planning.
  • Be involved in writing fee proposals and building new clients through networking and relationship building across the industry.
  • Contribute towards development of our company culture.
  • Participate in industry advocacy and marketing activities, including content creation.
  • Presentations at seminars and conferences when required.

About you

You are an experienced landscape architect with a good understanding of at least several fields of specialty within the Jeavons ‘patch’. Your work is far more important to you than simply design. You understand the longer-term legacy of your projects and care deeply about our industry and its ongoing success. You may even find yourself wanting to bring your expertise from larger studios into a smaller, more agile design studio where your contribution is encouraged and rewarded.

Skills and experience required:

  • 10 years minimum of relevant experience as a Landscape Architecture Consultant
  • Excellent written, verbal and graphic communication
  • Have excellent knowledge of Landscape Architecture and design
  • A curiosity and interest to develop your knowledge further
  • Excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently and effectively
  • The ability to engage, mentor and develop other team members
  • An interest in business development and improvement
  • A registered membership of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects
