Allied Health - Psychology Services, Mental Health Services, NDIS services
Social Programs - Homelessness, Financial Health and Wellbeing, Emergency Assistance
Child & Family - Family support programs and Child Care Centre
Aged Care - Home Care Services

Child & Family Services helps children and families improve their social and emotional wellbeing, strengthen relationships and live positive lives. This is done in collaboration with child centres, schools and community services.

The Role

The Social Worker is expected to:
Provide high quality evidence-based family support services to families with children aged 0-18 years.
Act and behave with integrity and in accordance with the organisation's code of conduct and values.

Primary responsibilities:
Provide effective and relevant counselling and/or case management for children, young people and their families within the child and family programs.
Assist in the development and delivery of skill based educative and therapeutic programs for families.
Build effective relationships with stakeholders in the community.
Participate in continuing professional development to maintain, develop and enhance knowledge of best practice.

Reporting to the Team Leader Child and Family, the person we are seeking will be a suitably qualified Social Worker with demonstrable experience and knowledge of child and family centred practice, child development and mental health, particularly that of vulnerable families and children from backgrounds of trauma and/or disadvantage.

Location

This role is based at our central office in Bowden however some off-site work will be required.
