About the role

We seek Clinical Nurses with cardiac experience to work within Calvary Adelaide Hospital.

The Clinical Nurse is responsible for:

  • Accountable for the safe delivery of patient care.
  • Supportive and engaging with a strong focus on culture, education, and team building.
  • Assists in the professional development of staff.
  • Manages an agreed portfolio.
  • The requirement to act in the role of clinical manager when required.
  • Clinical leadership role.

The successful applicant will hold a current Advanced Life Support Certificate, hold or be working towards a Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Nursing, demonstrate advanced leadership skills and excellent interpersonal and team work skills. Contracted to a minimum of 0.8 FTE, you will support the Clinical Manager in leading, coaching and mentoring junior staff in providing excellent cardiac care to our patients. Critical thinking, professionalism and excellent customer service skills are essential to undertake this key leadership role.

What you bring

  • Current AHPRA registration and the ability to work as a senior registered anaesthetic nurse.
  • Graduate Diploma Certificate in cardiac nursing, Advanced Life Support Certificate.
  • Great customer service.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current nursing issues and practices relating to anaesthetic nursing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of risk management and WH&S.
  • Outstanding organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and build a cohesive team through coaching and mentoring. 
  • Proven experience in cardiac nursing.
