An exciting opportunity has arisen for the recruitment of a self-motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking team member to join the Sutherland Transitional Aged Care Service.

Where you'll be working

The Sutherland Transitional Aged Care Service is a goal oriented, time-limited and therapy focused short-term program for the eligible older people. You will be based at the Sutherland Hospital and work with clients in their home environment providing support and low intensity therapy after they are discharged from hospital.

What you'll be doing

Plan, co-ordinate and implement in-depth levels of clinical expertise in Physiotherapy in order to provide high quality physiotherapy to clients of the Sutherland Transitional Aged Care Service (STACS) consistent with service objectives.

  1. Recognised Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy & Current Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  2. Proven extensive post graduate clinical experience in Aged Care and knowledge of the community setting.
  3. Demonstrated excellent time management skills.
  4. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement and service evaluation processes.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  7. Demonstrated ability to participate in staff and/or student supervision.
  8. Current unrestricted Class C NSW driver's license.
