About the Role:
YWCA Canberra School Age Care is looking for an innovative School Age Care Program Manager to work in one of our before and after school care programs. Holiday care shifts are available if you choose the 52 week per year position.
You will be leading a team of dedicated educators to ensure best practice is implemented at our School Age Care programs.
Suitable applicants will need to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of the National Quality Standards, the Early Years Learning Framework and My Time Our Place Framework. Excellent written and verbal communication skills will also be necessary.

Suitable applicants will need to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of the National Quality Standards, the Early Years Learning Framework and My Time Our Place Framework. Excellent written and verbal communication skills will also be necessary.
Responsibilities include:
Designing and implementing a developmentally appropriate, child-focused program
Mentoring and developing casual and permanent educator teams
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with children, families and the school community
Ensuring your service is compliant with the Education and Care National Law and Regulations
Liaising with all stakeholders both internal and external.
What we offer:
Permanent position working 7.30 to 9am and 2pm to 6pm Mondays to Fridays with three hours programming per week. plus split shift allowance
Salary approximately $62,000 PA pro-rata depending on qualifications

14 weeks paid parental leave
The successful applicants will hold or be working towards a Diploma in Children’s Services or have completed two full years of a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or other degree, and have experience working within the Children’s Services profession.
A can-do attitude, passion for working with children and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
Applicants must hold a current Working with Vulnerable People Card and will be required to obtain a police check if the WWVP Card is more than three months old.
