Role: Manager, Capability and Knowledge Management

Position Summary:

The Manager, Capability and Knowledge Management leads a team of training and knowledge management professionals who will be responsible for establishing a cohesive training and knowledge management frameworks for teams within the Covid Public Health Contact Centre. This position will create the strategy and oversee the delivery of tools, technology, systems and resources targeted to support employees in community facing teams, and will include:

  • Drive knowledge transfer across the department through the utilisation of systems and resources
  • Research, create and manage content for a bank of knowledge articles reflecting public health advice information,
  • create, deploy and maintain a suite of customer centric learning collateral,
  • People management responsibilities
  • Build and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Coordination of functional support activities and the delivery of successful outcomes is a critical element of the role and requires a high attention to detail, critical evaluation, communication and negotiation skills. The role may require ad hoc participation in a stand-by or shift-based 7 day roster.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically plan and manage the delivery of the Contact Centre learning strategy.
  • Lead the development and delivery of contact centre specific learning programs.
  • Define and implement the Contact Centre knowledge management strategy.
  • Lead the development and documentation of knowledge management assets, processes, tools and policies to support knowledge utilisation across community facing teams.
  • Effectively manage and provide leadership to a team of employees by leading and supporting individuals to achieve their potential and modelling behaviours integral to good people management and departmental values.
  • Pro-actively building and maintaining positive internal and external relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • Drive change at the organisational level.
  • Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
  • Drive strategic partnerships (internal and external) to mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Work closely with Corporate Communications teams to ensure consistency of messaging, creating seamless feedback/update processes regardless of channel.
  • Partner with other teams in the Covid Public Health Contact Centre and broader Covid response to resolve issues via content and training (where
  • appropriate).
