We are excited to expand our passionate Strategy, Quality & Improvement Team at Regis Aged Care with a newly defined senior leadership role. We are looking for someone who has the expertise, passion and energy to implement transformational changes across the organisation in the areas of clinical risk management, risk management and open disclosure. Regis recognises the incredible importance of resident and client safety, and this role provides a unique opportunity to build and design best practice systems.

The opportunity

Reporting directly to our Executive General Manager of Strategy, Quality and Improvement, the National Risk Manager (Clinical) is responsible for developing, implementing and facilitating best practice systems and processes for clinical risk management, risk management and open disclosure across Regis.

Working with and through the Executive and other senior leaders, the National Risk Manager (Clinical) will be responsible for: developing and implementing best practice systems, undertaking risk assessments, coordinating and supporting risk registers, undertaking clinical incident triaging and review, conducting and coordinating clinical incident investigations, facilitating recommendations for improvement processes, analysing risk data and facilitating and supporting governance and monitoring processes. You will be represented at strategic governance committees and will provide expert advice, training and support for staff.

About You

You will hold a clinical qualification in a health related discipline (preferably nursing).

You possess a highly developed and best practice understanding of clinical risk management, risk management and open disclosure principles and processes with a proven ability to collect and analyse data, report on findings and develop recommendations for improvement. You understand the related legislative, regulatory and medico-legal requirements.

You have strong analytical skills and effectively communicate with stakeholders (including at a Board and Executive level) to influence change. You manage competing priorities well, and are organised and flexible. You will be highly credible, innovative, engaging and present with outstanding interpersonal skills.

You will ensure that the resident and client are central to decision making with a commitment to privacy and confidentiality at all times.
