Safety and Wellbeing Manager required for 6 or 12 Month FTC with extensive travel across NSW sites.


Your new company
This organisation is a Not-For-Profit focused on healthy living, social impact and empowering young Australians. They have more than 20 recreation centres, 60 after school care services and camping locations which fund their community programs, employing 1800 staff across NSW.

Your new role

  • You will be working heavily on projects around recreation and children's services which may include but not limited to; fitness, gyms, activities, pools, resource centres, activity centres, after school care, camping and more.
  • Your role will be managing the development, review, delivery and improvement of the WHS Management system as part of a large safety team.
  • You will be coaching and advising internal and external stakeholders to manage WHS risks and incidents, reducing risks for future incidents and creating simple reporting processes to improve and develop a positive safety culture across the organisation.
  • You will work with other managers within the team including Safety, Wellbeing, Injury Management and RTW colleagues to promote early and sustainable recovery and return to work.
  • This is a NSW statewide position and thus you will be expected to travel to sites across the state, there is a lot of travel involved.

What you'll need to succeed
  • At least a Cert IV WHS, or higher WHS qualification
  • ICAM, lead auditor or other auditing qualification
  • At least 3 years work health safety experience across Schools/Facilities/Not for Profit/Charity/Aged Care or other relevant industry
  • Ability to travel across NSW on a regular basis
  • You will be in possession of a valid and recent police check and working with children check
