JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Mercy Place Warrnambool have an innovative and energetic lifestyle team and we would love for you to join us. We aim to give our residents the best day possible. 

  • Permanent Part-time position up to 63 hour or casual. This includes working in our memory support house.
  • Promote emotional and physical rehabilitation through engaging residents in recreational activities of their choice that promote holistic wellbeing.
  • Create, facilitate and evaluate individual and group lifestyle programs to ensure that our residents have the best day possible each and every day.
  • Work in consultation with the wider care team to provide relevant and timely information for the care planning process 
  • You will be supported and guided by the Lifestyle Coordinator.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Completed a Certificate IV in Lifestyle & Leisure (Diversional Therapy), or similar
  • Previous experience in a lifestyle role in an aged care environment
  • Highly motivated and engaging personality with a desire to teach and make a difference within the home
  • Demonstrated time management and an excellent relationship-builder
  • Previous experience delivering recreational activities and the ability to work within a team environment
