We are seeking an ambitious and self-driven Senior Application Officer to join our ICT Department. SwanCare is beginning to undertake a journey in digital systems development and integration and we’re looking for the ideal person to lead and drive our application support and development to support this.

Under the direction of the ICT Manager, the Senior Application Officer will work closely with the SwanCare business units to identify opportunities to drive service improvement and efficiencies via software and digital technologies and provide senior level support for the applications and software that SwanCare uses. The role will feature the development of integration platforms and custom scripting/coding/workflow across the SwanCare software environment, with the right candidate either having experience in development environments/languages and/or software integration and customisation, or a very strong desire to develop skillsets in these areas.

You'll also have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience or willingness to learn application development languages, including C#, Salesforce Apex, and HTML5
  • Understanding and experience of query and analytical languages including those used by Microsoft SQL, Power BI and Boomi
  • Demonstrated experience in analysis, design, development, problem solving and testing of business applications
  • Competent user of Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
  • Advanced knowledge of network operating systems software including Windows Server, VMware etc.
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Boomi, Salesforce, Exchange Server, Active Directory, IIS and other Windows services in a hybrid environment.
  • Demonstrated effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Possession of or progress towards tertiary degree level in Information Technology.
  • Report writing skills
  • National Police Clearance less than 6 months old
  • Influenza vaccination

Desired Criteria:

  • Current National “C” class driver’s license
  • Demonstrated Project Management or Business Analysis skills
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerBI
  • Experience in Workflow development and/or process automation
