About Department
St Georges Hospital located in Kew provides a comprehensive Aged Care Service, including inpatient care, evaluation and management, residential aged care, rehabilitation and acute psychiatry.
About the Role
You are responsible for the day to day provision of seamless cleaning, ward support, food services and general support services across the St Georges Health Service sites. Support Services Coordinators provide a complete service to meet activity, quality & service standards by performing tasks in line with established duties list and standards within the Support Service Service Department.
The Classification for this position will be GN1 ($60,320 per annum).
Duties
Lead and direct the daily kitchen, ward support, cleaning and porter teams on a daily basis to ensure that services are delivered in an efficient, cost effective manger
Assist in the development and maintenance of rosters in line with Hospital EFT, EBA and budgetary guidelines
Oversee the daily central food operations , including but not limited to stock ordering, food production, plating and meal and beverage delivery
Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and all documentation completed to ensure food safety standards are compliant at all times
Collect and collate all inpatient menus and data input into inpatient menu system
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate HLTFSE005 & HLTFSE007
A comprehensive knowledge and experience in a commercial cook chill kitchen
Previous experience in age care environment is desirable
Previous experience in a similar supervisor role
Demonstrate the ability to communicate and maintain a harmonious working relationship
