Having recently reviewed our contracts, Silver Chain is again looking for Passionate, Kind and Dedicated Care Workers, to assist our clients. We are now able to offer a far greater flexibility for providers and look forward to securing suitable candidates to assist our Community Clients.

To meet our needs, we are looking for qualified Care Workers (Care Aide) both on a casual & perm part-time basis. You will be providing care to our clients within your local suburbs and we’re looking for staff throughout the metro area.

Services delivered to our clients will include, but are not limited to: Personal Care, Social Support, Respite and Home-Exercise programs, as well as some Domestic Assistance.

New Contracts Available!

We are seeking Care Workers (Care Aides) who are available to work across a number of shifts between Monday to Friday. Silver Chain understands that these are extraordinary times, so we will work with you and your available days and times to secure the right position for you!

We require candidates with a minimum of 3 days per week, however for those that have 4 or 5 days available to work, Silver Chain can guarantee you more hours each fortnight being;

30hrs for those available 5 days per week
24hrs for those available 4 days per week
18hrs for those available 3 days per week

Day Shifts are typically rostered between 7am to 12pm and 12pm to 4pm and Afternoon/Evening shifts are typically rostered between 4pm to 10pm (Monday through to Friday)

We also have a portion of positions where the start time of 9am is available, this can be discussed with your recruitment consultant.

About You

Successful candidates are required to demonstrate the following:

Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC or Disability

or be an Enrolled / Registered Nurse (min of 1st year training essential)

Community Care Experience (or relevant industry experience)
Current full Australian driver’s license (not P or L plates)
Registered Vehicle, suitable for work purposes
Pass a medical appraisal (known as FCT)
Employment Screening Checks will include successfully completing a National Police Check (Working with Vulnerable Persons)

Care Worker (Care Aide) benefits include the following:
Smart phone & training provided to perform your work
Hourly rate of $32.72p/h plus Super for Casual & $26.18p/h plus Super for Part-Time.
Minimum of 3hrs per shift for casual and perm-part time
Travel allowance of $0.78 per kilometre for travel between clients
Salary packaging, up-to $15,899 per year
