We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, business savvy leader to join our team in Port Coogee!

The opportunity..

We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager to work at Regis Port Coogee.

Working in this newly created role and reporting directly into the General Manager, this is an opportunity for someone who has a sound background in management and is looking to start their career within the Aged Care space or further develop their knowledge and skills in Aged Care while being supported and mentored by an experienced manager. This is a full time position, working 5 days per week. The position involves working weekend, to ensure that the home has management support throughout the 7 day week.

This role creates the perfect stepping stone for someone who is looking to break into a rapidly growing industry. Your commitment and dedication will be imperative, as will a demonstrated pride in service excellence, to enable success in this role.

Key Responsibilities..

  • Completing a thorough on boarding program and developing the knowledge and skills required to be a General Manager;
  • Full oversight of the Catering, Laundry, Maintenance and Administration areas;
  • HR and staff management;
  • Management of the facility P&L;
  • Sales and Marketing of the Facility;
  • Interacting with the residents and their families daily;
  • Working closely with your leadership team and frontline staff to ensure a positive, friendly, helpful and effective culture;
  • Ensure compliance with all WHS processes

As a Regis Club Services facility, Port Coogee offers hotel-style services, a range of extra service rooms and first class amenities. Offering 139 single rooms with en suite and 32 dementia specific rooms, all feature contemporary furnishings and finishes. Also on offer are services such as on-site chef, cinema, cafe, private dining room, internet and Foxtel, library, hairdressing salon and day spa.

About You..

This position would be suited to someone who is eager to learn, dynamic in personality and is ideally tertiary qualified in business, health or a hospitality related discipline. Experience in aged care or health services targeted to older people will be very well regarded.

Ideally you will be experienced within a multi-faceted, service based environment although this may come from a variety of industries. A natural leader and motivator, your communication skills will be exemplary.

You will be able to demonstrate a proven ability to successfully lead and motivate services teams, providing strong and positive leadership whilst guiding strategic direction.

Critical to your success is your compassion and energy for people. You are someone who embodies and role models the Regis values of Optimism, Passion, Integrity and Respect.

Mandatory Requirements For All Candidates
  • Evidence that you have had the 2020 Flu Vaccination or willingness to complete this before employment can be offered
