The opportunity

Silver Chain is currently looking for an experienced, AHPRA registered accreditation professional to join our Quality and Safety team. Reporting to the Director, Quality and Safety Unit, this role will be a key resource for accreditation readiness across the organisation. Job share or part time will be considered for the right applicant

About you

You will have at least three years’ experience working in an acute and/or community-based quality team or related clinical governance role. You will also have demonstrated understanding of accreditation principles applied to a large and geographically diverse organisation delivering both health care and aged community care. The research and analytical skills that you bring to the role will assist in identifying risks and making recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate accreditation activities under the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) standards and the Aged Care Quality Standard (ACQS).
Advise the Director, Quality and Safety Unit of any accreditation risks.
In conjunction with the Director, Quality and Safety Unit, provide guidance and advice to key leaders across Silver Chain on accreditation.
Provide co-ordination, support, mentorship to the Accreditation and Compliance Facilitator.
Develop accreditation reports to key organisational committees.
Monitor and advise on accreditation changes occurring in the health care and aged and community care industries.
Lead or participate in Quality and Safety Unit quality improvement projects.
Provide active participation in assigned committees and other clinical service network group meetings requesting accreditation involvement.

Under the Aged Care act 1997, successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance prior to commencement.
