We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer/Grounds Person to join our team at Aveo Freedom Banora Point New South Wales.

About the role:

• Full-Time position - Mon - Fri (8am to 4pm)
• Vibrant retirement community with independent serviced apartments
• Aveo Freedom Aged Care's purpose is to provide a caring, safe and inspiring environment that supports our residents in living their lives to the fullest through the latter stage of their ageing journey

Your responsibilities:

• Attend to various maintenance requests to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, staff and others
• Liaise directly with Manager to ensure projects undertaken are safe, aesthetically compatible and timely
• Oversee maintenance work undertaken by Contractors within the community
• Maintain gardens, grounds and pool including the communal areas.

About you:

• Must be experienced in General Maintenance and Handyman skills
• Experience with pool maintenance including pumps, filters and testing
• Current Police Check certificate
• Valid driver's licence (required)
• Ability to work unsupervised and manage multiple stakeholders and requests
• Previous retirement industry or similar role experience (highly regarded)
• Relevant trade qualifications (highly regarded)
