ABOUT THE ROLES:

We are seeking Paediatric Registered Nurses to provide quality patient and family centered care to the patient and their families utilising a holistic approach on the Paediatric Ward at Weribee Mercy Hospital.

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a public health service located in the western region of Melbourne in the centre of one of Australia's fastest growing suburban growth corridors. This is an exciting time to join Werribee Mercy with current and future developments leading towards becoming a Tertiary Facility.

In 2018 our services grew with the commissioning of our new multi-storey acute services building, including additional Theatres, Wards and an Adult Intensive Care Unit. As part of our expansion to meet the needs of the local community a general 12 bed Paediatric Ward was established mid 2019 with an expanded outpatient Paediatric service

  • Permanent Full-time and Part-time positions available
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships internally with other departments, and with external stakeholders to facilitate patient care.
  • Form an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team and provide highly responsive and flexible service to patients and carers ensuring a holistic approach

  • Flexibility required across all shifts including night duty
ABOUT YOU:
  • Registration with the Australia Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • At least 1 year experience as a Grade 2 Registered Nurse
  • Paediatric experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a General Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing Western suburbs of Melbourne. Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care. The hospital has recently undergone significant expansion with the opening or our new intensive care unit, additional operating theatres and the opening of two new wards, taking the total number of beds to 298.
