Workplace Location
Located within 12 km south-east of Melbourne's CBD, Regis East Malvern is a new state-of-the-art facility with 149 single rooms with en suites including apartments. As a Club Services facility, this facility offers hotel-style services, including a café, on-site chef and private dining room for residents to enjoy. The facility is easily accessible by public transport and parking is available within close proximity.
About the role
This is a permanent position at our Regis East Malvern home, working night shifts across the 7 day week. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience as a Registered Nurse in Aged Care and be someone that is passionate about assisting our residents with their daily needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete reporting and documentation based on Regis policies and procedures
- Provide high quality oversight and leadership of the home
- Monitor clinical care plans and participate in clinical auditing
- Administer schedule 8 medications and provide specialised nursing care as required
- Ensure all clinical documentation is congruent with current care requirements of residents
- Motivate, lead and supervise all staff
- A hands on approach to your role with a focus on customer service and leadership
- Proven capability and experience in leading a team
- Qualified Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration
- Minimum 4 years experience as a Registered Nurse
- Valid National Police Check (Full disclosure or standard disclosure)
- Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
- Consistent with State and Territory public health orders and with Regis' mandatory vaccination policy, all candidates must produce evidence that they have received the current (i.e. 2021) seasonal influenza vaccination or medical evidence to Regis' satisfaction of an accepted clinical contraindication to receiving the influenza vaccination
