Job description
Exodus Care Services is seeking a number of Support Workers in the Area of Frankston who are experienced, reliable, and committed and want to make a difference in supporting Individuals in achieving their NDIS and personal goals in which will in turn enhance their life. Supports will involve supporting Individuals with daily living tasks, assisting with social and community participation, as well as individual skill development; empowering individuals to reach their full ability to achieve their chosen goals.
The roles will involve working with children and adults, up to the age of 65 years who may have a Physical Disability, Intellectual Disability, Autism, Mental Health and, or a health diagnosis with both low to high complex support needs. Supports may include prompting to complete tasks to providing full support needs including personal care or behaviour supports.
Requirements
Ideal candidate to have:
· Experience supporting people with Mental Health and Complex Behaviours
· Experience using a Hoist, or Epilepsy Management Plans
· Flexible availability & a long-term commitment to the individuals-ongoing roster
· Be able to build trust and rapport with clients and their families.
· Understanding and following person-centred Supports.
· An understanding of the Disability/Community Services sector
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Essential criteria:
· Minimum of Cert 3 in Aged Care/ Disability/ Individual Support
· Experience in Disability Home Care, Aged Care and/or Community Work
· Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
· A commitment to supporting and promoting individual needs, skills, and abilities.
· A valid driver's license (nationally recognised).
· NDIS Worker Orientation module completed (Quality, Safety and You)
· NDIS Worker Screening Check- 100 points of identification
o National Police Clearance Check within 3 months
o International Clearance Check (if applicable)
o Working with Children’s Check
· Current First Aid (Level 2) and CPR
