ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Grade 2 Women's Health Physiotherapist, Part-time position, commencing early April 2021, fixed until June 30, 2021. Possible extension and/or conversion to casual employment
  • 45.6 hours per fortnight
  • Casual Grade 2 Women's Health Physiotherapist position also available
  • Mercy Hospital for Women Physiotherapy Department
  • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Women’s Health physiotherapist to work in a public hospital providing specialist health care to women, and to be part of a dynamic and values driven team.
  • Provides physiotherapy inpatient services to the maternity and gynaecological surgical wards and provision of outpatient services to maternity and gynaecology/urogynaecology patients.
  • Is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary teams of the hospital and will be required to provide highly responsive and flexible services to consumers whilst upholding a high level of professionalism and practising within the core values of Mercy Health

ABOUT YOU:

  • Holds a recognised Degree in Physiotherapy and current, full physiotherapy registration with AHPRA
  • Holds or is working towards a relevant post graduate qualification
  • Highly developed time management, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to person centred care and teamwork, the ability to adapt and learn quickly, and flexibility to assist with cover as required
  • Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team & the ability to prioritise competing work tasks in a timely manner within a complex fast paced work environment including: problem solving, interdisciplinary negotiation & liaison skills

Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
