Perioperative Services at Mercy Hospital for Women encompasses four Operating Theatres, 14 PACU bays, Day Surgery/DOSA, Preadmission Clinic and Acute Pain Service. We have a strong commitment to staff education and ongoing professional development with weekly in-services and regular specialist study events provided. 

Our unit caters for women who require specialist surgical care, in a variety of areas such as: Obstetric, Urogynaecology, Reproductive Medicine, Gynaecological Oncology, Endosurgery and General Gynaecology and Outpatients Hysteroscopy clinic.

  • 12 month fixed term, full time position (part time will be considered)
  • RN Grade 2 Anaesthetic PACU 
  • Provide best practice patient care to women during their perioperative phase
  • Join us as a pivotal member of the multidisciplinary team
  • Great location adjacent to public transport (opposite Heidelberg train station and bus services)

  • Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Preferably a minimum of 2 years experience in a Scrub Scout, Anaesthetics / PACU or Day Surgery role
  • Post Graduate qualification in Perioperative nursing desirable
  • Patient focused with sound clinical knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, motivated and thrives working in a team
