COMMUNITY CARE WORKER - CASUAL POSITIONS

The Integrated Care Services Division offers a diverse range of programs and services which provide high quality person centred care to patients, clients, residents and consumers throughout Bendigo and the Loddon Mallee Region. Services are provided in inpatient, outpatient, community and residential care settings including at the Bendigo Hospital site, a number of sites in Bendigo and across the Region and in client’s homes.

Selection Criteria
Essential:
01.Accredited Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent - and a willingness to maintain or upgrade training as required


Essential:
02.Ability to undertake home and equipment safety assessments and checks to ensure a safe working environment


Essential:
03.Own motor vehicle including valid registration and full comprehensive insurance including replacement vehicle insurance and valid driver’s licence

Essential:
04.Ability to provide community based care and form supportive relationships with consumers

Essential:
05.Ability to work with people with dementia and/or challenging behaviours


Essential:
06.Ability to work independently and within the care plan


Essential:
07.Ability to identify and report any relevant changes to coordinator

08.Ability to seek support when required

09.Excellent written and verbal communication skills

10.A willingness and ability to continually learn in an environment of change
