  • Permanent Part Time Opportunity – 53 hours per fortnight!

  • $27.65 - $28.24 per hour + 9.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging

We’re inviting applications from experienced Administrators to join their team as a Rostering Officer at Springwood Yurana Aged Care Facility!

You’ll be responsible for the coordination of base rosters, shift replacements and payroll processes for our Residential Services.

With our commitment to service responsiveness and consumer choice, this role will require dynamic problem solving, an effective use of resources, excellent communication skills and an ability to multi-task. You will be joining a team that work collaboratively to achieve rewarding results in this fast-paced role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing base and ongoing, long and short term rosters within our payroll system - Kronos
  • Reallocating shifts, managing planned/unplanned leave, exceptions,
  • Communication of updates, and informs staff regarding shift allocations/replacements
  • Ensuring staff are working/rostered within Enterprise Agreement’s and payroll reporting ready for pay sign off
  • Coordinate, manage and resolve enquiries in a high-pressure environment, including escalation of issues

Your skills and experience:

You’re a strong communicator, comfortable with managing customer expectations and confident speaking with individuals from all walks of life, demographics and backgrounds. Your administrative experience has provided you with a flexible but systematic approach to your work. With a keen eye for detail, you’re confident in identifying errors and putting forward opportunities for improvements! You’ll demonstrate:

  • Previous experience with service coordination, scheduling, or rostering role;
  • Intermediate - advanced computer skills
  • Experience within payroll administration
  • Previous experience working in high data processing and call query environment.
  • Kronos Payroll System or similar system a particular advantage
  • Evidence of an up-to-date Influenza vaccination in accordance with the current Public Health Directive for Aged Care Facilities

In May 2020 it became mandatory to have the influenza vaccination to either enter or work in a Residential Aged Care Facility. This was a legal direction triggered by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Recently, Queensland Health advised that employees working in a residential aged care facility are no longer required to have an influenza vaccination. Whilst the influenza vaccination is currently not a requirement, it is highly likely the vaccination will be a seasonal requirement moving into future years. We strongly encourage all employees across Aged Care and Community Services to obtain the seasonal influenza vaccination to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the vulnerable people in our care as well as their own.
