Summary of the role: This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established, renowned and leading NFP organisation within the Aged Care and Health Care sectors. This newly created Payroll management role sits within our Remuneration Services function, comprising of Payroll and Benefits Packaging teams. The role reports to the Group Manager, Remuneration Services and will support the continuing implementation of the Remuneration Services strategy. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing and developing the team, implementing continuous improvement initiatives and engaging in proactive stakeholder management across the business.

  • Work closely and effectively with Service/Department Managers at site and wider support functions such as HR, Finance and IT


  • Strong payroll experience gained within the Health Care(Hospitals) sector is essential. Experience gained within Aged Care would also be highly desirable
  • Strong people management experience is essential however highly capable candidates with less people management experience and a willingness to be mentored and developed will also be considered
  • Strong experience working across different types of industrial instruments including Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Experience working with rostering systems, such as Roster On, would be highly advantageous
  • Well developed communication and stakeholder management skills are a must
  • Organised approach to managing personal workload, setting priorities and supporting team workloads
  • Practical, structured and collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work well and constructively within and across cross functional teams on various business initiatives
  • High aptitude for coping with change related activities such as technology implementations and the like
