About The Role

We have an exciting position for a Projects Coordinator to join our successful Melbourne team. Reporting to the Building Services Manager, no day is the same, as our clients and projects are varied from commercial buildings, schools, hospitals, aged care homes, shopping centres and more.

The role will be a blend of foreman and project coordinator, where you will be required to be on the tools as needed.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Facilitate the efficiency of a project, whilst constantly looking at methods and procedures to reduce cost and time required whilst not compromising quality
  • Be on the tools with tradespeople on site when required
  • Ensure that required compliance documentation is completed
  • Ensure trades are competent and inducted within company requirements to be working on site
  • Liaise in a professional manner with the relevant parties throughout the project duration to achieve the best outcome for all involved parties
  • To plan, facilitate and supervise the work of the Team assigned to their area whilst encouraging a team environment by recognising the strengths of that team and using them to their advantage
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding project requirements and goals
  • Contribute to the planning and development of projects
  • Support the coordination and management of projects
  • Actively keep track of and reporting on project progress
  • Be responsible for the results of their team and projects
  • Perform administrative tasks such as preparing invoices, estimates, scheduling meetings, etc
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks assigned by the VIC Building Services Manager in an efficient and timely manner
About You

To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:
  • Trades services background
  • Willingness to work on the tools when required
  • Enjoys being on the tools and off the tools
  • Exposure to project management
  • Experience in project management software desirable
  • Experience in Microsoft Office essential
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Punctual with strong customer service
  • Strong understanding OH&S requirements
