The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic Allied Health Manager, Clinical Nutrition to lead our team of dedicated clinicians across the City and Royal Park sites of The Royal Melbourne Hospital. This is a Full Time ongoing role, working 80 hours per fortnight, including ADO.

Clinical Nutrition has approximately 21 EFT across City Campus and Royal Park Campus, with an annual expenditure budget of approximately $1.5 million. There is a strong research, clinical teaching, supervision and quality program. The Manager is also responsible for the management of the Home Enteral Nutrition service. This service provides nutritional formula and consumables to RMH patients receiving enteral nutrition at home.

As a key leader in Allied Health, the Clinical Nutrition Manager will collaborate with Allied Health Managers and will foster relationships with a range of stakeholders across the hospital and the Precinct.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership of the service to ensure evidence based best practice and contemporary models of care

  • You will be accountable for the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of the Clinical Nutrition service across a range of indicators

  • Reporting to the Chief Allied Health Officer, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing clinical and operational leadership, direction and supervision of clinical standards and competencies for their team

  • You have a comprehensive understanding of the issues influencing individual and organisational performance within the clinical setting

Your Contribution

  • You are an influential leader with a track record of driving change across a complex health care environment.

  • You have extensive clinical knowledge and experience in Clinical Nutrition

  • Completed qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and postgraduate qualification/s

  • You have a well-developed collaborative leadership style, and are confident in coaching team members with in a health sector environment
