About the Role

A position has become available within the Eastern Health Acute and Aged Care Team for an experienced Grade 1 Dietitian.

Primarily at Box Hill Hospital, the successful applicant will work as directed, as part of the team of Dietitians providing services to Eastern Health. A wide variety of experiences would be desirable, as there may be the need to work at other Eastern Health sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join our energetic Dietetics team. Our team is made up of Dietitians working in multidisciplinary teams across the Continuum of Care in Acute, Sub-acute, Ambulatory and Residential Aged Care settings.

We have a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and research, mentoring and staff support through regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.

Applicants must be eligible to be members of the Dietitians Association of Australia and must be a team player with the ability to work independently and problem solve.

About you

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Eligibility for membership with DAA and APD program/provisional membership

  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical theory and practice.

  • Demonstrated clear understanding of client-centred care.

  • Have effective communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Demonstrated capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Demonstrated time management capabilities and experience in managing a caseload.

  • Demonstrated professional codes of conduct.

  • Basic computer literacy

  • Experience in provision of dietetic services to adults & children

  • Experience in conducting nutrition education programs for groups and health professionals
