JOB DESCRIPTION

Full Time Role: 

Five days per week (Monday to Friday) Start end April 2021

Essential Criteria:

At a minimum, the successful candidate must possess:

· A valid Cert III Individual Support (Ageing or Community) CHC33015

· A valid Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) CHC52015

· A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116.

· Working with Children Check

Expected Capabilities:

We are looking for a Course Coordinator/Trainer and Assessor, with experience working as a Coordinator in an RTO and working in the Community Services Sector in aged care and case management. The successful applicant must be well-organized, be able to use own initiative, work autonomously, be flexible and enthusiastic. We are looking for a person that has excellent communication and leadership skills. 

We are seeking someone with: 

· An engaging and dynamic teaching style.

· A level of technological knowledge in relation to the digital management of student learning. This may be demonstrated through experience with digital learning management systems like Canvas, Blackboard or other bespoke systems.

· The ability to achieve results without the need to be closely managed.

· Experience in relation to the management of time, resources, outcomes and tasks.

· Superior communication and collaboration skills.

· Leadership skills.

· High level customer service skills.

· The ability to tailor contact, learning programs and teaching methods to suit individual students based on their individual needs.

· An understanding of ASQA Standards, trainer requirements and assessment materials compliance.

· Have the flexible to deliver training outside the Sydney area

Responsibilities:

The role is responsible for:

· Coordinate development and delivery of Courses

· Developing and managing an optimal structure for the delivery of Aged Care and Community Services courses.

· Coordinating work placements for students

· Managing the progression of each student through their enrolled course.

· Assessing and recording student competency in line with the requirements of the training package being assessed.

· Facilitating and supporting student progression.

· Ensuring students have the correct information, support, knowledge and expectations of a course.

· Preparing, maintaining, coordinating and evaluating teaching and learning resources.

· Undertaking administrative duties related to the program and job role.

· Diagnosing and managing student learning difficulties.

· Undertaking professional development in relevant industry, vocational, educational or other contexts on a regular basis.

· Contributing to the achievement of the College's commercial targets.
