Our beautiful, state of the art village in Kogarah is looking for an enthusiastic and exceptional housekeeping attendant who loves helping people and takes pride in their work!

About the role:

• Actively promoting and supporting Greengate's vision to enrich the lives of our residents
• Warmly greeting our residents, their families, guests and visitors as you go about your duties
• Providing general housekeeping services for our independent retirement living residents, as per their requests for service. This may include some or all of the following:
• Vacuuming the floors within their unit
• Dusting all surfaces; dusting the curtains
• Cleaning / wiping down all frequently touched surfaces
• Providing a deep clean of all bathroom surfaces
• Providing a deep clean of all kitchen surfaces
• Loading and unloading the dishwasher, to clean dishes, glasses and cutlery
• Loading and unloading the washing machine, to clean any clothes or towels required
• Changing the sheets on the bed
• Performing a general tidy up of the resident’s unit, putting items back where they belong

About you:

• Experience in same or similar roles - highly regarded
• Understanding of key principles of working within cleaning and catering departments particularly around infection control.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Understanding of the need to be reliable
• Kind and caring nature and ability to work with the elderly
• National Police check conducted in last 12 months
