JOB DESCRIPTION

Recruitlfex has multiple roles & multiple host employers across the region, each unique in their delivery of services to their clients. Outlined below is a broad description of all jobs however at interview we can discuss more relevant detail to ascertain the best fit for you !

Our roles are for the safe care of elderly people and people with a disability - and can be either In-Home care or Group Home care, or a combination of both, should you wish:

* Support members to engage in a diverse range of activities & tasks as identified in their NDIS Plan, to access

community, social, employment & recreational activities, to help them lead a 'meaningful & valued life'

* Provide assistance with daily living needs (nourishment, hydration, mobility, personal hygiene including

showering, toileting etc), domestic duties, activities & other support

* Ensure completion of appropriate documentation & notes

* Ensure clients’ cultural independence, social image & dignity is respected & upheld at all times

* Safely transport individuals as required

* Positively promote inclusion & access for people with a disability & people who are ageing within the local

community & at their places of choice;

* Undertake all requirements of the position in line with approved policies & procedures of the Host Employer, the

National Disability Standards & the Home Care Standards;

* Ensure the application of EEO & Diversity principles & the health & safety of all persons through the

implementation of & compliance with WHS Policy & Procedures.

* Other duties as directed by the Team Leader/Supervisor/Manager

BASIC ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:


* Min. Cert III or equivalent Qualifications in Disability, Aged Care and/or Community Services OR .. SOME

organisations will accept suitable experience in lieu of a relevant Certificate

* Current First Aid & CPR certificate

* National Police Check(within 3 months)

* Working with Children Check (if applicable to Host employer)

* NDIS Worker Check

* Driver's Licence & own vehicle - if transporting clients in your own vehicle you will need comprehensive vehicle

insurance for "business" purposes;

* Ability and fitness to carry out manual handling tasks including lifting & transfer techniques;

* Good availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts

* Genuine interest in working with people with disabilities or elderly people

* Willingness to provide personal care & undertake domestic duties

* Ability to work with people who may display challenging behaviours.

* Proficiency in use of email, digital applications & software packages.

* Willingness to undertake any vaccinations required eg flu / Hep A&B etc

* Have relevant working rights in Australia

* Provide 2 relevant, work related referees
