Are you ready for a new role? An opportunity now exists to join Juniper's leadership team in the capacity of Area Manager (Residential), operating primarily within the South Metropolitan Area of Perth.

In this role, you will bring together your flair for operational leadership, astute business acumen and well-established understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards to effectively manage risk, maintain customer satisfaction and lead a small team of Residential Managers within your allocated region.

To be successful in this position you will need to be an experienced Aged Care sector leader and have previously provided oversight to multiple aged care homes. You will have a demonstrable ability to build and maintain lasting, productive relationships with stakeholders and a knack for sharing your wealth of experience within the sector, in order to mentor others. The management team you lead will look to you for useful advice and to assist them, when needed, in making sound decisions.

We are searching for a candidate that is passionate about continuous improvement and thoroughly embraces the goal of delivering a person centred model of care.

This role is based in Balcatta, but requires travel across the Perth Metropolitan area and some travel to two regional facilities, located in the South of Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership to the Residential Managers
  • Support the delivery of services to all stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the financial management of each facility
  • Provide leadership, and practical assistance that supports the management of rosters in line with available funding
  • Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and improvement of service delivery in each of the designated facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements including appropriate Injury Risk Management.
  • An ability to travel across metropolitan and regional locations as required.

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Experience in managing multiple sites, within the Aged Care sector.
  • A Nursing or Health related qualification.
  • A business qualification or significant equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Previous experience in planning and implementing change.
  • High standards of written and verbal communications skills and an ability to convey ideas in both forms.
  • Experience in contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of business and financial plans. 
  • Understanding of the funding and legislative requirements relating to the aged care sector.
  • Experience in the use of appropriate information management systems to enable effective reporting and informed decision making.
