We are looking for enthusiastic Casual Personal Care Assistants to join our team at our Carseldine Facility (locally known Holy Spirit Home). Residential Living is around-the-clock aged care and support in home-like environments, where residents are made to feel welcomed, valued and safe.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be rewarded each day by caring for our residents and making a positive contribution to their daily lives. This is a busy, varied role where you will provide assistance to our residents to ensure that they are supported by services and activities that are centred around their needs.

At St Vincent's we understand work/life balance is important and there is the flexibility to work across various shifts (mornings, afternoons and nights). Rosters are planned a fortnight in advance but you can set your availability on the Emprevo App to allow your managers to know of your availability to pick up extra shifts when they become available. Don't forget that as a casual employee you get 25% casual loading to increase your hourly rate and you are eligible for Not for Profit Salary Packaging to increase your take-home pay.

Successful applicants will share a genuine desire to care and assist consumers with a strong person-centred care focus and will need to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a similar role;
  • Certificate III in Individual Support / Certificate III Aged Care or similar qualification essential;
  • Ability to use computerised clinical management software such as Autumn Care;
  • Ability to follow directives as per care plan;
  • An ability to work within a multidisciplinary team;
  • An understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities;
  • Current flu vaccination and National Police Certificate (within the last 6 months).
