Blue Haven Care offers a true continuum of aged care services and a wide range of disability services for people in the local region. It is a not-for-profit organisation owned and operated by Kiama Municipal Council and a significant provider of aged care services both within the Municipality and the Illawarra region. Blue Haven Care Home is an 82-bed residential home located in Kiama.

It is an exciting time to join our dedicated team as we are in the process of re-developing the old Kiama Hospital site into an Aged Care Centre for Excellence which will include a 134 bed residential aged care facility with other facilities and services.

The role:

In this role you will ensure our staff are continuously building on their level of knowledge and experience to remain qualified professionals meeting accredited standards. You will develop and implement educational programs, promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation and take a lead role in managing the ongoing and successful accreditation.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience in assessing the needs of a group of staff and developing and implementing training to meet their needs
  • Experience as a nurse educator and working in an aged care environment
  • Knowledge and an understanding of continuous improvement
  • Qualifications in Training and Assessment
  • To be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency

We offer:

  • Permanent full time, 38 hours per week
  • Salary from $1809.80 to $2003.20 (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 9.5% superannuation
  • Access to salary packaging
