An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the country's leading dementia specialist care and support organisations. Established in 1982, Alzheimer’s WA provides care, support, education and information to assist people living with dementia as well as their families and carers. Our services include advocacy, training and consultancy programs that are based on a philosophy of understanding the lived experience of those living with dementia. We provide CHSP, HCP, Education and Consultancy services, provide day respite in three of our homes based in Perth, Mandurah and Albany and have approx. 180 staff.

Position Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented executive leader to join Alzheimer’s WA’s Executive Leadership Team and to play a key role in delivering our strategic priorities.

Reporting to the CEO, as Head of People and Culture, your role will be to transition our organisation by effectively build the people and culture capability at Alzheimer's WA; lead and deliver end to end People & Culture services and contribute to broader organisational and strategic management mindset as part of the AWA’s executive leadership team. The position also has a key role as ambassador for organisational culture and values, ensuring they are visible, embedded and upheld.


We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual who will champion change and have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills to take others along our journey as we transition our organisation. 


Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in the Aged care industry is desirable,
  • Minimum of 20 years’ experience in progressively senior Human Resources Management roles,
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management,
  • A successful and proven record as a senior HR leader in a not for profit environment,
  • Extensive experience and proven track record in HR strategy development, execution and delivery,
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and implement a broad range of contemporary HR and organisational development strategies, programs, policies and operational practices to successfully support the strategic objectives of the business,
  • Previous experience in managing change and the delivery of change management with a range of stakeholders,
  • Proven experience with an emphasis on quality service delivery and results,
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences,
  • Current driver's licence and police clearance (not older than 6 months).
