JOB DESCRIPTION

Mercy Community have a full-time position for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team based in Nudgee. This is a fixed term position for a period of 12 months.

Working as part of a team, you will support the end to end payroll function. Your role will include:

  • Processing all employee payroll data accurately and to deadline
  • Preparing and providing payroll reporting
  • Preparation of superannuation payments, separation certificates, redundancy calculations and time sheet analysis
  • Processing retention bonds
  • Master file management.
  • Review payroll payment runs.
  • Undertake analytical reviews.
About you…

You will have a strong background in payroll processing with your previous experience including payroll analysis, reporting, process reviews and participation in large pay runs. You will have:
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in and/or knowledge of salary sacrificing processes and remuneration packaging
  • Strong payroll analysis and transaction reporting skills
  • Understanding of Awards and Agreements and how they apply to Payroll
  • High attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver high levels of customer service
  • Strong time management, organisation, problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated intermediate ability to use financial systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
The successful candidate will also be required to obtain a positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.
