An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled and energetic Allied Health Assistant to join our Primary Care team located in Gisborne, 45 minutes from the CBD, and free parking on site.

You will have experience working with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in leading and supporting group programs such as warm water exercise classes; strength for life classes; fall prevention classes. You are able to work autonomously and under instruction to assist clients to reach their roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic support in group programs
  • Work under the instruction and guidance of the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists
  • Undertake administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the team.
  • Provide program planning and implementation support.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Certificate 4 Allied Health Assistance and/or similar tertiary qualification (e.g OT, Exercise Physiology)
  • Ideal for a 3rd or 4th year student of the above mentioned qualification(s)
  • 3 years experience as an Allied Health Assistant
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaboratively in a team
