Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Feedback and Briefing, this role will support COVID-19 Response Division to ensure that the business services operations and processes have been conducted in accordance with the prescribed policies, laws, regulations and/or industry best practice.

The role sits within the Feedback and Briefings of COVID-19 Response Support Branch. The team:


  • Lead the development and implementation of business operations compliance and assurance program to support and enable effective delivery of the Divisional objectives. 
  • Provide robust and timely advice to key stakeholders on issues related to governance, compliance and assurance requirements for the Division.
  • Ensure that an efficient control environment has been strategically embedded within the Divisional business processes and operations.
  • Ensure that the Division business processes and operations are affected in accordance with the prescribed legislations, policy, processes and best practices.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships across the department and the wider sector to build a user centric culture and to achieve stakeholder alignment, particularly when navigating publicly sensitive issues.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Operate within increased level of autonomy and accountability in delivering within broad strategic directions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance based on advanced expertise.
  • Contribute advanced expertise and knowledge to benefit strategic planning and organisation/sector-wide outcomes.
  • Manage a range of projects/functions each with increased budget, staff responsibilities or strategic importance as required.
  • Respond productively to deliver solutions and outcomes in an organisational environment complicated by scale, heterogeneity and complexity.
