About the role:

As a Practice Lead - Disability you are responsible for leading high quality and consistent practice approaches both in an area of specialisation and more broadly across the CYF Directorate.

Practice Leads are responsible for leading program design, developing and implementing practice models and driving change initiatives to best meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.

As a senior leader, you will need to influence relevant stakeholders and shared services functions to improve practice standards, frameworks, models and approaches.

This is a full time permanent role with the flexibility to be based in one of a number of locations across the Sydney region dependant on candidate.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Lead on the development and implementation of person centred and contemporary practice models and initiatives.
  • Collaborate across the business on practice improvements and changes required in response to complaints, incidents, audits and research findings.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to define, deliver and monitor the implementation of practice priorities.
  • Contribute to clinical governance and support regulatory compliance requirements, reporting and monitoring.
  • Provide leadership in practice to stakeholders and provide contemporary advice on sector developments and initiatives

Skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience within Disability services and related field/s with relevant qualifications
  • High level understanding of and expertise in program design and practice development
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic and collaborative working relationships
  • Understand systems and processes that enable quality service delivery
  • Experience as a leader/manager in human services
  • Excellent communication skills, including proven ability to write to a variety of audiences
