Opportunities
Multiple federal roles at APS5 and APS6 level. 12 month initial terms based in Geelong with flexibility and option to extend. Reporting into the Assistant Director Partner Contracts Branch.

The team looks after sourcing of new Partners, contracts management, and reviews contract terms and conditions. The branch monitors and manages Partner performance. The team is responsible for the initiation, planning and sourcing strategy. It is also responsible for the market approach, evaluation, negotiation, contract formation and contract execution activities including all approvals.

The Roles 
APS5 Level :

  • Assisting in review of contract terms and conditions to align with legislative and policy changes
  • Supporting Partner sourcing projects
  • Assisting contract management teams with contract variations and extensions for moderate to complex Partner agreements.
  • Supporting the team to improve and develop better statements of requirements, structured negotiation practices and techniques.
  • Supporting evaluation and negotiation teams and processes for establishing Partner contracts at an implementation level.

APS6 Level :

  • A key leadership role in the delivery of sourcing projects.
  • Work closely with teams to ensure a smooth handover between sourcing, performance and contract management.
  • Delivering sourcing projects including the approach to market documentation and management of the approach to market period.
  • Supporting ongoing reviews and improvements to sourcing processes and systems.
  • Assisting with implementing continuous improvement activities and adopting best practice sourcing methods.
  • Forming evaluation and negotiation teams and processes for establishing Partner contracts at an implementation level.
  • Improving and developing statements of requirements, structured negotiation practice and techniques.
  • Ensuring compliance and review of contract terms and conditions to align with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting contract management resources with contract variations and extensions for moderate to complex Partner agreements or as part of a program of renewal.
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate governance and compliance
  • Project and people leadership

Success Factors

  • Previous experience in Public Sector Contracts Management, Procurement and Grants
  • Capability to coach and manage teams effectively in a fast-paced working environment
  • Outstanding internal and external stakeholder management
  • Experience in the disability, aged care, health or state/federal government sector would be a bonus
