About the role

The Care Manager is responsible for co-ordinating and providing clinical leadership to both the Clinical and Care Teams in collaboration with the Residential Site Manager and General Manager.

The role ensures compliance with legislative and statutory requirements to deliver a high standard of care, services and most importantly quality and lifestyle for our residents.

The role will take responsibility for driving quality systems and site WHS.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Care Manager for our Ryde facility to work on a permanent full time basis.

What you bring

  • Registered Nurse with current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); Demonstrated post registration experience;
  • Experience in managing the provision of quality clinical care in a highly regulated environment;

  • A commitment to work within and promote Calvary’s Mission, Vision and Values;

  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the legislation governing Aged Care;

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in assessment and the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI);

  • Commitment to contemporary aged care nursing practice;

  • Ability to support a multi-disciplinary team;

  • Strong clinical skills and the ability and desire to coach and mentor others, including clinical staff;

  • Ability to prioritise multiple conflicting tasks and competing deadlines within a fast paced environment;

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;

  • Demonstrated alignment with the philosophy of resident focused care which supports dignity, independence and informed consultative decision making.

  • Current influenza immunisation
