We are currently recruiting for a Provider Adoption Lead to join a leading Federal Government agency. This is an immediate start with a contract term of 12 months.

Based in Sydney's CBD, this agency is tasked with improving the overall health and lifestyle outcomes for all Australians through the delivery of different innovations, systems and platforms.

About the role:
This position will help drive the meaningful adoption and use of digital health technologies and support PHNs, Jurisdictions and Indigenous Health Services to deliver education and change management across multiple healthcare settings. The primary focus of this role will be to assist with the implementation of projects arising from the action plans of the Roadmap Phase 2 and the Nursing and Midwifery Framework Action Plan to ensure providers are confidently able to adopt and use new digital health technologies.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Leading education and change management activities for adoption of My Health Record particularly within the Aged Care; Specialist, and Primary Care sectors;
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to drive the use of key digital health technologies including My Health Record, Medicines Safety, Electronic Prescribing and Secure Messaging;
  • Providing regular digital health priority 'train the trainer' education, training and updates for primary care, jurisdictional and Indigenous Health delivery partners;
  • Driving and supporting locally tailored approaches to provider education and adoption to support the Agency's digital health strategy;
  • Assisting stakeholders to resolve technical and useability issues and/or escalate appropriately to help centre or software vendors;
  • Collaborating with software vendors to promote key digital health functionality within clinical information systems;
  • Providing Agency representation for local clinical and community engagements, such as conferences, community forums and clinical peak association engagements;
  • Willing to travel both locally and interstate with capacity to work outside of normal business hours;
  • Adhering to the Agency Values and Code of Conduct
  • Follow all Agency policies, procedures and instructions and take reasonable care for your own health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace.

About You:

  • Possession of tertiary qualifications in a Nursing or Midwifery discipline
  • You must hold an Australian Drivers License
  • Previous experience as a Nurse Educator (RN or above)
  • Previous experience in delivering digital change management within the health sector.
  • Previous experience in collaborating with health clinicians and understanding of use of clinical information systems.
  • Previous experience in presenting to large groups.
