  • Location: Mareeba Aged Care Facility
  • Contract Type: Casual
  • Remuneration: $21.96 per hour + Casual Loading + 9.5% Super + Penalties & Allowances
We’re seeking applications from Hospitality All-Rounders with experience in Housekeeping, Cleaning, Laundry and/or Food Services to join our team at Mareeba Aged Care Facility.

As a Hospitality Officer, you’ll be responsible for carrying out safe and efficient housekeeping, cleaning and laundry services that focuses on the needs and wellbeing of our residents.

You will be required to maintain high hygienic standards throughout the entire facility, including communal living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and equipment of our residents.

You'll also assist with kitchen services and any other hospitality related responsibilities as instructed by your supervisor.

What you’ll need:

You’ll be an experienced hospitality worker - preferably within the aged care sector – and demonstrate:
  • Excellent customer service
  • Enthusiasm and strong self-motivation
  • Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.
Supporting our clients in the best way possible is important to us. To be employed by Blue Care, you will be required to complete the free NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement and provide a copy of your certificate on completion.

Selection Criteria Desirable: Are you comfortable and willing to work in all areas of hospitality services? i.e. Kitchen, Housekeeping, Laundry etc.
Desirable: Do you have full Australian working entitlements as an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident OR New Zealand Citizen?
Desirable: If you don't have full working entitlements, do you have a current working Visa? Please list your visa, for example: Bridging Visa, Regional Sponsorship Visa etc.
Desirable: Can you supply evidence of an up-to-date influenza vaccination in accordance with the current Public Health Directive for Aged Care Facilities?
Desirable: As a Casual, do you have any limits to your availability between Monday-Sunday, 6am-7pm?
