The Education team at JB Hi-Fi Solutions is the current HP Education partner of the year 2020 and consistently one of the top two education resellers nationally for Apple and Microsoft Surface.

JB Hi-Fi Solutions delivers a wide range of solutions and services including a full suite of proven Managed Services, led by our practices, into our core industry verticals, which include Education, Resources, Government, Retail and Hospitality and Aged Care.

The Role

Due to continued growth in our Education business, we now seek to recruit 2 x Business Development Managers who have proven experience in the education channel (primarily K-12). This is your opportunity to take the next step in your career with one of the leading IT providers to the Education channel, backed by one of the best-known and trusted brand names in the business.

With Education being a key channel for our business, we have developed a full stack of products and services that will empower you to grab hold of our customers and deliver fantastic outcomes for them and of course JB Hi-Fi Solutions.

Your passion for Education will be supported by the National Education Manager, Pre-Sales technical experts and Practice Managers across a variety of different technology and solution segments. This is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career.

Key responsibilities and measures include:

  • Key measure for this role is to meet or exceed monthly revenue and GP budget allocations
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with new and existing clients to determine their existing and future business needs
  • Understand the client's objectives, buying criteria and decision-making process and forming long-term business partnerships - the role will be closely supported by technical pre-sales
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process from start to finish including managing and maintaining your sales pipeline, ensuring all sales enquiries are followed through
  • Present innovative business solutions to potential clients through direct communication i.e. face to face meetings, telephone calls and/or via email
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of products, in line with customer needs and SLAs
  • Attending industry events; tradeshows and networking nights to aid in the development of new business revenue
Attributes that will make you the stand out candidate for this role:
  • Highly desirable candidates will possess;
  • Knowledge and experience in selling End-User-Compute / mobile devices, AV Equipment, STEM and classroom technology, IT hardware and software, Networking and Data Centre infrastructure, software licensing.
  • Client focused i.e. committed to delivering innovative solutions that are tailored specifically to client's business needs
  • Exceptional listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Drive and determination to continuously develop one's own skills and competencies to assist the continued/ongoing growth and success of JB Hi-Fi
